Even the Vinitaly 2018 edition was the event that more than any other marked the evolution of the national and international wine system. Year after year he has contributed to making wine one of the most engaging and dynamic realities in the primary sector. This is the figure of Vinitaly 2017 which closes today with 130,000 operators from 140 countries and has seen the historic record of 100,000 net exhibition square meters surpassed. First exhibition in the world by surface area with more than 4,100 exhibitors from more than 30 countries. Almost 50,000 foreign visitors, with 28,000 accredited buyers from international markets, up 23% on 2015. Thanks to the enhancement of Vinitaly’s incoming activities and the Made in Italy extraordinary promotion plan.

“Interesting signals emerge from this edition both from abroad and from the domestic market. We confirm the Salone’s ability to interpret trends, put the internationalization work to good use. In particular, at this Vinitaly, buyers from the United States (+25%), Germany (+11%), United Kingdom (+18%), France (+ 29%), Canada (+30%), China (+130%), Japan (+21%), Northern European countries (+8%), the Netherlands (+24%) and Russia (+18 percent) . Positive data also from the domestic front, with operators from Central and Southern Italy growing by an average of 15 percent”. There were 2,357 accredited journalists from 47 countries who followed the event.
